The Nervous Sytem: Part I

I have learned that the nervous system is the control part of the body. It is the main operator of our body. It helps us to tackle different things in our every day life.

If I'll explain this to others. I'll compare the nervous system to a city. The topic is kind of difficult to tackle so we must find ways to make it easier to understand. The nervous system is said to be the control part of the body. In the case of a city, there must have a control system to monitor conditions, take correct actions and many more tasks to make a city a good one. This is also the same as in the body. The body must have a control system in order for it to function well.
This was discussed to us by Cecille, our classmate who's the reporter of this topic. Actually, I didn't understand a single thing on what she reported. I was too boredto listen to her. I rather read the book by myself than to listen to her. She could have done morefor us to be interested to her topic. More interactions or more energy. No offense on Cecille's side, maybe I can't report my topic good either but as far as my brain is concerned, I didn't learn anything at all. I only understand the topic when I read it by myself.

The Integumentary System

I have learned that the integumentary system is the protective covering of our body. It protects us from pathogens and other harmful elements in the environment.

If I'll explain this to others, I'll just expalin this briefly. There are three layers of the skin: the epidermis, dermis and the hypodermis. The epidermis is avascular which means there are no blood vessels here. So, if it is ripped, you won't feel any pain. It is composed of dead cells. If you are wounded, and blood is present and so is the pain then the wound is cut into the dermis, where blood vessels, nerve cells are found and so are sensory receptors that's the reason for feeling the pain. In the hypodermis, insulation of body temperature is being done. This is why we can adapt in the environment.

Ivy reported this topic well. She summarize her report unlike Erick. Although I didn't understand what she had discussed, it was just alright because I already read in advance the lesson.
